Staying Human with AI

The Future of Learning: Interregional Challenges and Perspectives

A two-part interregional webinar series exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming education—and how we can ensure innovation strengthens, rather than replaces, the human dimension of learning.

About the Webinar Series

Artificial intelligence is reshaping education around the world, creating new opportunities for teaching, learning, and expanding access to knowledge. Yet it also raises a fundamental question: How can we ensure AI strengthens – not replaces – the human dimension of education?

As part of the Interregional Dialogue Process, this two-part webinar series provides a space for dialogue on the future of learning, bringing together perspectives from different regions to explore human-centered approaches to AI in education, share experiences, and strengthen international cooperation.

Particular attention will be given to the opportunities and challenges AI presents for rural and underserved communities, where technology has the potential to expand access to quality education while also exposing persistent inequalities in infrastructure, connectivity, and digital capacity.

The series is intended for higher education leaders, policymakers, researchers, educators, students, youth representatives, and civil society organizations interested in AI in education, the Sustainable Development Goals, and interregional cooperation.

What Will We Explore?

  • Human-centered approaches to AI in education
  • Institutional experiences from different world regions
  • Opportunities and challenges for rural and underserved communities
  • Youth perspectives on the future of learning
  • Ethical and inclusive AI adoption
  • New opportunities for interregional cooperation
